CPR and First Aid

Starting at $100 per participant

Your neighbor suddenly grabs at his chest and collapses. You find a coworker unresponsive. Your child’s friend is allergic to bee venom and was just stung. Do you know what to do until help arrives?

The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED course provides a newcomer’s course in basic emergency response to a variety of life-threatening emergencies until first-responders arrive to take over. Through lesson presentations and hands-on skill stations, participants will learn how to provide help in the event of a life-threatening emergency and what to do until additional help arrives.

American Heart Association (AHA) CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification training is sometimes required for healthcare and education workers due to regulatory or liability needs. This long-established and widely-accepted course fulfills all requirements and results in a two-year certification that is considered the standard for these fields.

Either of the above courses will cover:

  • Activating the 911 system
  • Hands-only CPR and AED
  • Administering naloxone
  • Use of epinephrine auto-injectors
  • Responding to life-threatening bleeding
  • Positioning injured patients

A certification is provided to participants after course completion.
